في هذه اللحظات العصيبة، تواجه مدينة شقرة الساحلية – محافظة أبين، كارثة طبيعية موسمية بفعل رياح الشمال الشديدة، التي حملت معها أمواجًا عاتية وارتفاعًا مقلقًا في منسوب البحر، ما أدى إلى انهيار شبه كامل للحواجز الرملية والمصدات الطبيعية (الكبس)، وجعل مساكن المواطنين مكشوفة تمامًا أمام خطر المد البحري.
🏚️ العائلات البسيطة، الذين لا يملكون ما يقيهم هذا الخطر، يعيشون الآن لحظات رعب حقيقية، بعد أن أصبح البحر يزحف إلى أبواب بيوتهم، والتهديد قائم بأن تغرق شقرة… المدينة والناس والذكريات.
🏛️ شقرة.. تاريخ يُنسى حين يحين الغرق
شقرة ليست مجرد قرية أو ساحل، إنها مدينة كانت منارات للعلم والمقاومة والتجارة، وهي من أقدم الحواضر الساحلية في جنوب اليمن. هنا مرّت القوافل، وتقاطعت المصالح، وكان الميناء الشقري نافذة مفتوحة بين الجبل والبحر، بين الداخل والخارج.
في شقرة سكن التاريخ، لكنها اليوم تُترك وحيدة في وجه البحر، تغرق بلا شهود، وتنادي من ذاكرة منسية لم تلقَ إنصافًا.

المجلس الأهلي ومدير منطقة شقرة
وزارة الأشغال العامة والري
المنظمات الإنسانية، الإغاثية والهندسية

ترميم الحواجز البحرية والمصدات
إقامة حزام حماية مؤقت لخط الساحل
توفير مأوى آمن للعائلات المنكوبة
إرسال فرق تقييم هندسية عاجلة
🆘 لا تجعلوا شقرة ضحية النسيان
شقرة اليوم ليست فقط تغرق، بل تُنسى وتُهمل وتُهمّش، رغم أنها حاضرة في ذاكرة اليمن وتاريخه.

🔴 URGENT ALERT: Danger Looms Over Historic Shaqra!
In these critical moments, the coastal city of Shaqra – Abyan Governorate is facing a seasonal natural disaster brought on by powerful northern winds. These winds have driven towering waves and an alarming rise in sea level, causing the near-total collapse of sand banks and natural breakwaters and leaving residents’ homes fully exposed to the threat of tidal flooding.
🏚️ Vulnerable families, with no resources to shield themselves, are living in genuine terror as the sea creeps to their doorsteps. The peril is real: Shaqra—its people, memories, and very identity—may soon be submerged.
🏛️ Shaqra… a history at risk of drowning
Shaqra is not merely a village or a shoreline. It is one of Yemen’s oldest coastal hubs—once a beacon of learning, resistance, and commerce. Caravans passed through its gates; its port linked mountains to sea, hinterland to world.
Today, history resides in Shaqra—but the city has been left alone to face the ocean, sinking without witnesses, calling out from a forgotten memory that has never been done justice.
🔔 We issue an urgent humanitarian and national appeal to:
Local authorities in Abyan Governorate
The Community Council and Director of Shaqra District
The Ministry of Public Works and Irrigation
Humanitarian, relief, and engineering organizations
